Adventure on the Tatshenshini-Alsek Rivers, Alaska
This movie tracks our August 2015 trip down the Tatshenshini and Alsek Rivers in Canada and Alaska. The Tat-Alsek river system is considered by many to be the most magnificent in the world. It's amidst a large expanse of protected wilderness that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest non-polar ice field. Here, 9 friends meander through this landscape, a place where only a few lucky humans get to visit, and only from June thru August. The rest of the time the griz, the mountain goats that dot the hillsides, and the sauntering lynx have it to themselves. I made these photos and videos with a Fuji X-T1 mirrorless camera (except for the ermine, which is Kelly's), and produced the movie with Windows Movie Maker.
